San Carlos is a beautiful beachfront community in the northern state of Sonora, Mexico, just 5 hours south of the Arizona border. Despite it’s size, there are a remarkable number of stores, restaurants, marinas, and a large, active pickleball community approaching 300 players who play at a facility with 6 dedicated courts in addition to numerous more around town. When you’re not playing pickleball you can enjoy snorkeling, kiteboarding, sailing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, or just relaxing on the beach and getting a massage. Not only is there endless entertainment in this area, but it’s also incredibly scenic as the lookout at the Mirador has been considered by National Geographic to have some of the best sea views in the world.
