The Tournament Format will be either Round Robin or Double Elimination depending on the final registration numbers for each bracket.
Double Elimination events will be best 2 out of three games to 11, win by 2 in the winners bracket and 15 points, win by 2 in the losers bracket. Double elimination has a 3 game guarantee per event.
Round Robin events will be either 15 or 11 point games, win by 2 depending on the size of the bracket with smaller brackets playing longer games. Round Robin has a 4 game guarantee per event.
**The Tournament Director reserves the right to combine or split events as needed to create playing brackets.
Registered players without partners will be moved to the waiting list after 5 day but will be placed back into the event once their partner registers.
Additional Information
Dare County Recreation Youth Center location is 602 S Mustian Street Kill Devil Hills NC 27948 Parking lot by tennis and recreation center is first choice to park. Additional Parking at the Dare Co Water Dept. next to tennis courts. Look for signs. Also Dare Co Library AFTER 2PM on Saturday and Sunday all day.
Refund Policy
In the event of Rain or unplayable weather – Please sign up for TXT message – We will communicate via TXT for any or cancellation for Game Day. In the event that weather is forecasted prior to 48 hours from our schedule time start of 8AM on Saturday the 9th of October – Tournament directors may cancel the entire event. It after 48 hour time window of Oct 7th – we will attempt to complete this tournament. Refunds will be issued if entire event is canceled. After setup of event and matches played there will be no refunds offered if weather is determined to make the event unsafe and unplayable.
