I lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for 25 years before moving to Connecticut in 2018. At that time Pickleball in Dallas was virtually non-existent as I first heard of the sport when I moved.
Fast forward five years and Dallas is becoming a hotbed of Pickleball with some great indoor and outdoor courts.
Here’s a review of the top 10 must-visit indoor and outdoor Pickleball courts.
Indoor Pickleball Courts
There is a surprising number of indoor Pickleball courts in Dallas but many are located at recreation centers where Pickleball is played on the gym floor. Other options include tennis centers which don’t usually have dedicated Pickleball courts but they are still a great way to get out of the heat during the hot Texas summers. Finally, there are a number of food concepts with Pickleball courts like the chain Chicken N Pickle which has a number of locations in the DFW area. The future also looks bright for indoor Pickleball as more dedicated courts are coming to the metroplex in the next couple of years. Here is a rundown of all the options.

Outdoor Pickleball Courts
Outdoor courts abound in the Dallas area with many in parks, tennis centers, and eateries. Unfortunately, few locations have dedicated courts but most in the list below do so. One thing I found when playing at Dove park is that they do not have drop in play. People show up with a foursome and hold the court until they are done playing which can be a couple of hours.
